Working with precious metals one of the most important factors is to ensure that as much of these valuable materials can be recycled and re-used as possible. For this reason Heraeus has developed over many years a diverse range of refining processes for used products. These range from melt refining and chlorination for high precious metal content materials though to chemical cleaning and elementalchemical processing for heavily contaminated and/or low content used materials.
